Joanne Hartstone

Joanne Hartstone is a multi-award winning South Australian theatre-maker: an actor, singer, writer, director, curator & teacher. Joanne began performing in the Adelaide Fringe in 2007, and went on to co-produce (with Guy Masterson) the Centre for International Theatre in the Adelaide Fringe, presenting award-winning international companies, producers and artists in South Australia.

The Girl Who Jumped Off The Hollywood Sign, Joanne’s first solo-show, won the inaugural Made In Adelaide Award and the Holden Street Theatres’ Award in the 2017 Adelaide Fringe. Joanne’s second show That Daring Australian Girl won the BankSA Best Theatre Week 3 Award and the Sunday Mail Award for Best Solo Show (Female), going on to have successful seasons in the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe.

Chris Mitchell is a Melbourne-based entrepreneur, major art grant recipient, graduate of 16th Street Actors Studio and founding partner of the brand-new Northcote Theatre.

He is also an accomplished filmmaker, with award-winning short films and featurettes screened at international festivals including Fantastic Fest, Snow Dance, Melbourne Underground Film Festival, Tokyo International Short Film Festival and many more. The venue he founded and creatively directed - Red Bennies - won multiple Melbourne Fringe awards, including best venue, and served as an Australian hub for global artists.

Eliza Scott graduated from A Bachelor of Arts: Music Industry at RMIT University and while studying started working as an assistant producer and EA for Velodrome Events, Abbots Yard, Northcote Theatre and Greenfields Group who all produce music festivals/music based events in Melbourne. Having worked on projects that are council based, ticketed and corporate throughout 2022 (ongoing) Eliza has a variety of knowledge in many areas of the music events world.

Eliza also came on board for The Marvellous Elephant Man: The Musical in June 2022 as a production assistant and company manager for Adelaide Fringe 2023 and continues to work on the project with a passionate drive.

Breanna Boyd

Breanna Boyd is an emerging Producer, Performance Maker and Actor currently based in Sydney, NSW. She is
originally from Brisbane, QLD and moved to Perth, WA at the age of 17 to study at the Western Australian
Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). She has a Bachelor in Performance
Making and a Diploma in Screen Performance. After moving to Sydney, she completed a Producing for Stage
and Screen course at the National Institute of Dramatic Art.

Guy Masterson

Globally acclaimed as a solo-performer, Guy Masterson began directing in 1991 and has since directed 40 more shows. Over 27 consecutive seasons at the Edinburgh Fringe since 1994, Masterson has presented over 140 shows and directed several of its most celebrated hits: ‘Adolf’; '12 Angry Men' - which smashed all box office records, and received Edinburgh's most prestigious prize- The Jack Tinker 'Spirit of the Fringe' Award among several others.

He originated the West End hit, 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest'; directed Edinburgh's biggest box office hit to date, 'The Odd Couple’, starring Bill Bailey & Alan Davies; 'Morecambe"- which transferred to the West End and won WOS & TMA awards, a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment. Guy also co-wrote and directed 'The Marilyn Conspiracy’, and directed 'The Shark Is Broken’ - which transferred triumphantly to the West End and was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Comedy or Entertainment.

Sarah Nandagopan

Sarah Nandagopan is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer. Originally from Scranton Pennsylvania, Sarah studied Music at Eastman School of Music and Penn State Uni, and performed solo/in ensembles throughout Pennsylvania, New York and Melbourne.

She has extensive experience as a musical theatre accompanist for independent artists in NYC and Penn State School Theatre Company. Sarah currently works as a music teacher and performer in Melbourne.

Marc Lucchesi

Marc is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, director and performer with a wide, prestigious repertoire. Over the years, he has produced music and provided vocals for world-class organisations, including ABC kids, SBS and Disney Jr.

Born in Italy, Marc moved to Adelaide aged 4, where he later attended the Elder Conservatorium of Music. After graduation, Marc took his degree in Jazz (Saxophone) and moved to Melbourne, where he lives today. During the day, Marc works as the music coordinator of Ascot Vale Special School; by night, he’s the frontman and lead singer of the band Vaudeville Smash.

Jamie Henson

He was the resident Lighting Designer of the Queensland Theatre Company. He operated the lighting for the national tour of ‘HAIR’. Jamie was technical manager for the 1st Australian production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

He travelled the world with ‘TAP DOGS’ as Company/ Production manager/ Lighting realiser and studied Arts and Entertainment
Management at Deakin University. Jamie became the Operations Manager of Production for the Victorian Arts Centre in 1999.
‍

He designed and operated the lighting for ‘SEEKERS 50th Anniversary tour’. Jamie was part of the creative team that won an AUSDANCE award for Outstanding achievement in Community Dance for ‘The Right’.

Eden Read

Eden has enjoyed an eclectic career in performing arts, appearing professionally in musical theatre
(Grease, The Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore, The Mikado, Hello, Dolly!, Sunset Boulevard),
international dance tours (Spirit of the Dance), and working extensively for Opera Australia as a
dancer, actor, re-staging choreographer and assistant director.
Acclaimed live entertainment venue Red Bennies engaged Eden as the resident circus, vaudeville,
and burlesque Entertainment Manager and in-house MC for its duration, leaving a celebrated mark
on Melbourne’s independent live performance scene.
Eden is an ongoing faculty member for the Australian Tap Dance Festival, and works as a lecturer in
dance at VCA (Music Theatre), Federation University (Arts Academy), and NICA. He holds a Bachelor
of Dance (VCA).

Rachel Nankin is an emerging production designer and maker completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production Design and Set & Props Making) at the Victorian College of the Arts.

Rachel has undertaken roles as Costume and Set Designer for the Alter Kinetic (2022), Set Designer for Merrily We Roll Along (2022), Associate Set Designer for The Hello Girls (2021), and Workshop Leading Hand for three devised works: Rats on Cocaine Prefer Jazz, Dead Serious, and B**ch (2021). Roberto Surace originates from Melbourne Australia where he trained at the Victorian College of the Arts gaining a BA in Dramatic Art (Production). His first West End credit with The Play That Goes Wrong, won the 2015 Olivier Award for BEST NEW COMEDY. Since then he has had three shows running simultaneously on the West End, UK and International Tours and Broadway.

Roberto was also nominated for the 2016 Broadway World Audience Choice Awards for The Comedy About A Bank Robbery in London and in 2017 for The Play That Goes Wrong on Broadway for which he had the highest percentage vote for a play in the Best Costume Design category for the 2016/2017 Broadway season.

Claudio Mantuano

Claudio Mantuano is a multifaceted artist born and raised in Melbourne. He has worked as an Illustrator, painted numerous murals around Melbourne, exhibited his paintings and sculptures in various shows over the past two decades. He is also the owner, designer, and maker at Alley Cat Furniture for 8 years.

Mantuano created props for the award-winning Claymation feature film ‘Mary and Max’, worked as a puppet maker at Sydney’s Canal Rd Film Centre making puppets for Disney stage productions and most recently was the prop builder for Adelaide Fringe Festival award-winning musical ‘The Marvellous Elephant Man’.

Phoebe Clark

Phoebe, an emerging designer and creative based in Melbourne, VIC, began her artistic journey as a dancer. Her ballet background sparked a passion for costumes, eventually leading her to coordinate a successful dance school in QLD alongside a passionate team. It was there where a passion for costumes was discovered. Whilst exploring her coordinating skills, she also featured as an artistic performer in multiple creative projects across art, photography, music and fashion industries. After moving to Melbourne, Phoebe delved into stage management, notably as an Assistant Stage Manager for the Green Room Association Awards 2023. Following this she began her journey with The Marvellous Elephant Man on it’s Melbourne Comedy Festival season. Now this brings her to her current endeavour managing the Wardrobe department of The Marvellous Elephant Man’s Sydney Fringe Festival season.

Wayne Pashley

Wayne Pashley is a multi-award winning supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer with an international reputation. Wayne’s work on Mad Max: Fury Road lead to an Oscar-win (for the soundtrack) and the editor joins the team fresh from the set of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis.

He also earned four AFI/AACTA awards for the sound on Bill Bennett’s Kiss or Kill plus In a Savage Land, and Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby among others. His work has been recognised by other major awards-bodies, including the Montreal World Film Festival and the Australian Screen Sound Guild.

After graduating from the Elder Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide, Jayan completed his postgraduate studies. He has published over 100 works, including orchestral and small ensemble arrangements for NYC’s Juilliard School.

Max Maclean

Max Maclean is a cross-disciplinary Creative Director and a veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe.

Over the course of his 10-year advertising career, Max produced award-winning campaigns for Amnesty International, Mercedes-Benz and Philips Electronics.

He also helped (re)launch a dozen startups, presented to 1,000 people at SXSW, started a VR Events company and built a boat.

Max brings a unique skillset to the production, and while he isn't sure how he ended up making a musical, he refuses to look a gift elephant in the mouth.
